二哥, 祝我生日快乐
C.s say no one is blogging except him, so I am blogging now.
Today is my birthday... Yes...
I don't have much to talk about... Hmm...
Maybe I should talk about what happened this morning.
There are new teachers in the school, so Mrs Chow introduced them and told westwoodians to only clap after she finish introducing each and every new teacher. Despite beng told, westwoodians still clap after each teacher is introduced. This is a very common situation, but what I am going to talk about is 'Cognitive dissonance'.
Cognitive dissonance is a psychological phenomenon which refers to the discomfort felt at a discrepancy between what you already know or believe, and new information or interpretation.
Using today's morning assemble as an example:
1)We know that we should not clap.
2)But other people around us all clapped.
3)Even feeling discomfort in following, we did.
This is Cognitive dissonance.
Sorry if i bored you. The most of the brothers went for soccer, but I choose to go home.
So boring now, maybe I should study. Byebye.
